My son was wearing them during the experience and the captain told him that “they suited him better” and took them off my son’s face and put them on himself. But a minute later a different captain from another boat dragged our captain into river and he lost my son’s new sunglasses. We raised it with the captain and the tour operator and the lead was telling them “to ignore us as they can afford it” in their language not knowing we can speak a bit. “Great experience. There were four of us, two adults and children 6 and 9 years old. The fun was great, the children were so happy, that we bought a buggy ride on the spot, which the children were afraid of before. After the buggy ride we were literally covered in mud, wet and smiling. It’s quite a long day out - and we didn’t get ‘lunch’ until 17:00, eat before you go! There is a place to eat about 14:00, but you have to pay for the drinks/snacks. Our trip was guided by Hajjar, the canyoning was brilliant, it was just the two of us & him. The buggy trip was more than expected, great fun, very muddy! We first went canyoning, even though the water was freezing (in March) were still able to experience it well and Apo took us through as well as he could. We then met the rest of the group who had gone on a jeep safari and boarded our raft for an exciting adventure down the rapids (around 1hr) back to camp where we had a delicious lunch waiting for us.
